The last update of journals in the Scopus database was in October 2024. In January, Scopus released a new update covering December 2024, in which 12 journals were officially removed. In addition, 4 more journals were excluded with a complete loss of indexing of articles, but they did not make it to the official list. In this publication, we will tell you about such journals.
We warned you about the 4 magazines that were removed in our column "Journals that will soon lose indexing in Scopus». The updated list of applicants can be viewed here.
Important update Scopus
Previously, when Scopus removed a journal with a complete deindexation of articles for violating the requirements, it would be included in the official list. Now, such journals are not included in the official list. Scopus removes articles from recent years when there were gross violations, and simply marks such a journal as indexed up to a certain year.

Conclusion:
At the Academy of Articles, we urge all scientists, authors, and researchers to be careful when choosing journals for their publications. It is important to carefully check the reputation of the publication and its status in scientific databases. Given the recent changes in Scopus policy, which may lead to deindexing of journals and their articles, we recommend avoiding the risks associated with low-quality publications. Pay attention to the editorial standards, review processes, and the indexing deadline of the journal. We are always ready to help in choosing reliable platforms for publications so that your research maintains high visibility and citations.
