Good afternoon, dear scientists! The Academy of Articles continues our column about publications that will soon lose indexing in Scopus. You all really liked the previous article, and we have conducted an analysis of publications at risk for the fourth time.
Several journals have already lost indexing, as we wrote about earlier, and our column is becoming useful for many Ukrainian scientists, helping to save both money and time.
Journals that have already lost indexing:
- Review of Economics and Finance
- Journal of Higher Education: Theory and Practice
- Azerbaijan Pharmaceutical and Pharmacotherapy Journal
- REVISTA DE GESTIO SOCIAL E AMBIENTAL
Most of the journals we have previously written about are already under review in Scopus. This means that their content will be re-evaluated by the CSAB (Scopus Content Selection Advisory Board), and while the review is ongoing, the articles will not be indexed. Article Academy can confidently say from its own experience that all of these journals will be excluded from Scopus.

This time we will look at two journals that are at risk of being removed from Scopus:
Let's start with the first edition
The journal has published about 500 articles of any quality in the last few months, all in one issue. 6,643 pages of text in one issue is a lot.
The journal began to increase the number of published articles in 2023, increasing their number from 24 to 68 — almost 3 times more. And now it has already published 500 articles, which is 8 times more than last year. The Radar system cannot help but react to such gross violations. The cost of publication in this journal is 600$, and the publication period is several weeks. It is not surprising that there are so many people who want to be published in this journal. But, as we have already written, such situations always lead to the same consequences. In addition, we want to say that publications in indexed journals can quickly publish articles, but at the same time they must have appropriate peer review and publish high-quality articles.
According to our forecasts, this journal will be excluded from Scopus within 1-3 months.
Second magazine for today:
The magazine is very similar in style to the two previous magazines we wrote about: Environment and Social Psychology and Journal of Infrastructure, Policy and Development.
The journal has increased the number of issues per year by 1 since 2023, and in 2024 it has already published 5 issues, in each of which the number of published articles has almost doubled. As of August 1, 2024, the journal has already published over 280 articles, some of which are already indexed. As can be seen in the screenshot, the journal has significantly increased its publishing activity already in 2023.
The cost of publishing in this magazine is considerable — 1500$.
According to our forecasts, this publication will be excluded from the database. Scopus by the end of 2024. There is a high probability of deindexation (removal from the database) of articles for 2024.
This time we have again shown you two new publications that, according to our predictions, will soon be excluded from the Scopus database. We have also shown four publications that we wrote about earlier, which are already under review in Scopus and which will be removed from the database. Some of the publications that we wrote about are still being indexed, but it is only a matter of time. As soon as they are excluded, we will immediately inform you.
Thanks to our articles, Ukrainian scientists were able to save over 2,750,000 hryvnias, because they were warned in time about journals that were on the verge of exclusion.
