2. Communication with the editorial team
We check how quickly the editorial team responds to inquiries, whether it provides clear explanations, and whether it adheres to standards of academic ethics.
Journals with low communication levels are automatically excluded from the list.
3. Analysis of the quality of publications
We study the latest releases and evaluate:
– number of articles and geography of authors;
– quality of English;
– compliance of the topic with the declared thematic direction of the publication;
– the presence of international researchers among the authors.
4. Stability of activity
We track the dynamics of publications over the past few years. If we see sharp jumps in activity, this is associated with risk - such journals often come under Scopus scrutiny and may be excluded from the database.
5. Forecasting the risk of loss of indexation
We separately analyze SiteScore, CiteScore Percentile, and other metrics. Our analysts predict whether the journal will be able to maintain its level or whether there is a risk of a decline in Scopus rankings.
