It is well known that several times a year Scopus conducts a check of journals indexed by the database, and also considers applications from applicants for indexation. As a result, almost every time after the checks, several publications lose indexation for one reason or another. At the same time, quite a few journals acquire the status of indexed in Scopus every month. Today we have prepared a list of publications included in Scopus and lost indexation in May 2023.
First of all, let's talk about the journals that lost their indexing in Scopus in May of this year. According to the results of the checks, 4 journals were excluded from the database. The list of these publications is given below:
- Advances in Multimedia (Print-ISSN 1687-5680) (E-ISSN 1687-5699). Publisher – Hindawi Publishing Corporation;
- Contemporary Voice of Dalit (Print-ISSN 2455-328X) (E-ISSN 2456-0502). Publisher – SAGE Publications Inc;
- Remittances Review (Print-ISSN 2059-6588) (E-ISSN 2059-6596). Publisher – Transnational Press London Ltd;
- Reviews of Adhesion and Adhesives (Print-ISSN 2168-0965) (E-ISSN 2168-0973). Publisher – Research Trentz Academy Publishing Education Services.
The reason for exclusion from the Scopus database for all these journals is the same – concerns about publication issues – violations of publication ethics, editorial policy, etc. Given this, we urge you to be careful when choosing a publication and carefully check its status, as journals do not always indicate or notify authors about the cancellation of indexing, and sometimes they may even continue to charge publication fees when they are no longer indexed.
Based on this, we recommend that you pay attention to the journals included in Scopus in May of this year. They are not yet displayed on the Scopus website, but have already been officially accepted into the database. Below we publish a list of these publications for your reference (in May there are 127 of them):
