Dear scientists! Today we have prepared for you a list of publications excluded from Scopus in January 2024.
During the first journal review in 2024, only 2 journals were excluded from the Scopus database, namely:
- Biomedicine (India) (Print-ISSN 09702067) Publisher – Indian Association of Biomedical Scientists;
- Journal of Law and Sustainable Development (E-ISSN 27644170). Publisher – ALUMNI IN.
The reasons for exclusion from the Scopus database for these journals are the same – concerns about publication timing. What does this mean:
1) The journal has stopped monitoring the quality and content of articles, and accepts a huge number of low-quality articles for money.
2) An increase in the number of published articles. For example, if a journal published 100 articles last year and 500-600 articles this year, this is already a cause for concern.
These are the main reasons why journals are removed from Scopus.
