Greetings, esteemed scholars! Given the nature of our work, we always strive to keep track of all changes and stay up to date on the current state of the world of scientific publications. We carefully study the nuances of indexing, the publication schedules of various journals, and their inclusion in scientometric databases so that we can always provide you with up-to-date information and the best service. That is why, as has become our tradition, we are sharing with you a list of journals that have lost their Scopus indexing. Today, we will look at the journal that was removed from Scopus in September 2023.
Based on the results of the checks for the previous month, 5 journals were excluded from the database. The list of these publications is given below:
- International Journal of Instruction (Print-ISSN 1694609X) (E-ISSN 13081470) Publisher – Gate Association for Teaching and Education;
- International Journal of Membrane Science and Technology (E-ISSN 24101869). Publisher – Cosmos Scholars Publishing House;
- Journal for ReAttach Therapy and Developmental Diversities (E-ISSN 25897799). Publisher – ReAttach Therapy International Foundation;
- Scientific Programming (Print-ISSN 10589244) (E-ISSN 1875919X). Publisher – Hindawi Publishing Corporation;
- Security and Communication Networks (Print-ISSN 19390114) (E-ISSN 19390122). Publisher – Hindawi Limited.
Also pay attention to the magazine International Journal of Professional Business Review (E-ISSN 2525-3654). Publisher: AOS-Estratagia and Inovacao. Scopus has not yet made an official announcement in September, but the journal has also been removed from the scientometric database, so please exercise caution and thoroughly verify the publications in which you plan to publish.
The reasons for exclusion from the Scopus database are the same for all these journals – concerns about publication timing. What does this mean:
- The journal has stopped monitoring the quality and content of articles, and accepts a huge number of low-quality articles for money.
- An increase in the number of published articles. For example, if a journal published 100 articles last year, and this year 500-600 articles, this is already a cause for concern. These are the main reasons why journals are removed from Scopus.
