Dear scientists! Today, as usual, we have prepared for you a list of publications excluded from Scopus, namely the results of the exclusion for February 2024.
Під час чергової перевірки Scopus виявив низку порушень у 5 журналах, в результаті чого ці видання втратили подальшу індексацію. Академія статей особисто дослідила динаміку цих видань і зараз ми поділимося з вами деякими своїми спостереженнями, щоб у майбутньому ви були більш обережними, оскільки в цих журналах були публікації українських вчених, проіндексованих у Scopus, але, на жаль, які втратили індексацію. Отже, перелік виключених видань:
- International Journal of Applied Engineering and Technology (London) (E-ISSN 26334828) Publisher – Roman Science Publications and Distributions.
Журнал був прийнятий до Scopus в 2022 році, до цього він випускав по 2 номери на рік. У 2023 році опублікував 6 номерів, у кожному з яких було більше 100 статей, а за 2024 рік вже встиг опублікувати понад 200 статей. Звичайно, журнал потрапив під систему РАДАР і був моментально виключений зі Scopus. Журнал розсилав пропозиції про публікацію за 20 днів, повністю ігноруючи процес рецензування. Вартість однієї публікації становила всього 400 доларів. Статті були проіндексовані, але після розслідування Scopus всі статті за 2023-2024 рік були деіндексовані. Типова модель наживи науковим виданням, яке вирішило «нагрісти» грошей і піти на дно.
- Kurdish Studies (Print-ISSN 20514883, E-ISSN 20514891). Publisher – Society of History and Cultural Studies.
The journal had a very high reputation in its field: it had been in the top quartile for several years in a row, and last year the publication started offering fast-track publication for 800 euros. Over 500 articles have been published in the last few months. The journal was excluded from Radar, and all articles for 2023 and 2024 were deindexed.
- Migration letters (Print-ISSN 17418984, E-ISSN 17418992). Publisher – Transnational Press London Ltd.
The same model as in previous editions. In 2024, the journal has already published 8 issues, each containing approximately 100 articles. As a result, all issues for 2023 and 2024 have been deindexed.
- Stochastic Modeling and Computational Sciences (E-ISSN 27523829). Publisher – Roman Science Publications and Distributions.
Журнал того ж видавця, що і перший. Серйозних порушень щодо кількості статей не було. Журнал був прийнятий до Scopus у 2023 році, але він швидко потрапив під перевірку через серйозні порушення видавцем з першим журналом (International Journal of Applied Engineering and Technology). І, напевно, також журнал не проводив відповідної перевірки якості, за що, власне, і був видалений з бази Scopus.
- Signal Processing (Print-ISSN 07650019, E-ISSN 19585608). Publisher – Lavoisier.
Цей журнал не здійснював таких серйозних порушень, як попередні, підтримував свою щорічну норму за кількістю публікацій. Але, швидше за все, якість статей, які приймав журнал, все ж занепокоїла представників Scopus і тому він був виключений.

Do not be fooled by options for quick publications without proper peer review, as this is guaranteed to lead to a negative result. Choosing a scientific publication is a difficult process that requires a lot of experience and knowledge in this field.
