A journal that is currently included in the Scopus list may be removed from it tomorrow.<\/p><p>The list includes journals from various countries and covering a range of subjects: from mathematics and medicine to chemistry and electrochemistry. The reasons for exclusion fall into two main categories: Discontinuation (cessation of publication) and Journal Change Policy (change in editorial policy). It is particularly noteworthy that one of the excluded journals\u2014Architecture Image Studies\u2014had previously been featured in our column \u201cCandidates for Removal from Scopus.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cda0722 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"cda0722\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8b81295 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"8b81295\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The journal we warned about has been officially removed from Scopus<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f0e149e e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"f0e149e\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3381c19 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3381c19\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-pm-slice=\"0 0 []\">In the \u201cJournals at Risk of Being Removed from Scopus\u201d section, we systematically analyze high-risk journals. This month, Scopus confirmed the removal of one of the journals we had previously analyzed in detail:<\/p><p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scopus.com\/sourceid\/21101247624\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Architectural Image Studies<\/a> \u2014<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/a-articles.com\/en\/scopus-risk-list-12\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Analysis in Issue No. 12: \u201cCandidates for Removal from Scopus\u201d<\/a><\/p><p>The journal was accepted into Scopus in 2024, but as early as August 2025, it drastically changed its editorial policy\u2014it became \u201cmultidisciplinary\u201d and began sending mass emails to authors. A detailed analysis revealed the publication of articles that did not fit the journal\u2019s scope, a lack of quality peer review, and a rapid increase in the number of publications.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-862df98 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"862df98\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9828a59 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9828a59\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Typical \u201cwarning signs\u201d that we have observed:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>publication of articles that do not correspond to the stated topic of architecture;<\/li><li>a sharp shift from a highly specialized to a \"multidisciplinary\" format;<\/li><li>the lack of high-quality peer review;<\/li><li>a rapid increase in the number of publications over a short period;<\/li><li>mass mailings to authors inviting them to submit manuscripts.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-70080ac e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" 2025, 36 of the 44 journals we had flagged in the \u201cCandidates for Removal from Scopus\u201d section were officially removed from Scopus \u2014 <strong>This is the highest figure among teams that monitor scientific publications.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-98286c0 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con
