On Friday evening, August 8, 2025<\/strong>, Scopus has published updated data on the indexing of scientific publications. The team \u00abAcademy articles<\/strong>\u00bb prepared this list over the weekend so that you can be the first to know about changes and beware of excluded magazines.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

In the July update, four journals were officially excluded. The reasons are questionable editorial quality and so-called outlier behavior. By this term, Scopus means "abnormal journal behavior<\/strong>\u00bb \u2014 when its metrics or editorial processes deviate significantly from generally accepted standards.<\/p>

This could be<\/strong>: a sharp jump in the number of citations, massive cross-citations between publications, excessive levels of self-citations, and anomalous growth in the volume of publications.<\/p>

Such deviations often signal possible manipulation of metrics or violations of editorial ethics, etc.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

These cases prove once again:<\/strong> Even well-known and indexed journals for many years are not immune from a sudden loss of status due to questionable editorial work patterns, citation manipulation, or other violations that Scopus detects during audits.<\/p>
