Last year, our column became very popular among Ukrainian and Kazakh scientists.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>In 2025, you&#039;ll find six in-depth articles about journals on the verge of being delisted from Scopus. At the same time, the journal used an interesting trick: after accepting articles, it required authors to add a mention of the SDGs in the title and abstract so that the articles formally corresponded to the declared topic.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Features of the magazine:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li  aria-level=\"1\">Q0 from the right;<\/li><li  aria-level=\"1\">Accepted by Scopus in 2024.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Main violations:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li  aria-level=\"1\">Increasing the number of publications per year. 300 in 2024 and already over 300 as of January 2025.<\/li><li  aria-level=\"1\">Publishing everything in a row with the trick of adding SDG&#039;s to the title.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Number of Ukrainians who have been published in this magazine:<\/strong> more than 115 Ukrainian scientists<\/p><p><b>Current status:<\/b><\/p><p>The journal is being actively indexed, but it is only a matter of time before it is reviewed by the Radar system and subsequently by the CSAB board.<\/p><p><strong>Probability of exclusion from Scopus:<\/strong> 100%<\/p><p><strong>Probability of deindexing (removal from the Scopus database) of articles:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>50% \u2013 for 2025;<\/li><li>20% for 2024.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-5da6e8d elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"5da6e8d\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-2320202\" data-id=\"2320202\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d501544 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d501544\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\"><a href=\"https:\/\/malque.pub\/ojs\/index.php\/mr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2. However, it has now been subject to CSAB review and appears to have decided to accept all articles indiscriminately before possible exclusion.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Features of the magazine:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Q4 \u2013 psychology;<\/li><li>Adopted in December 2023;<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Main violations:<\/strong> In my expert opinion, when the journal was accepted into Scopus, it was given a year to improve the quality of the publication, and that is probably why re-checking was introduced:<\/p><ul><li>A large number of self-citations \u2013 over 50%<\/li><li>A large number of published articles in 2025<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Number of Ukrainians who have been published in this magazine:<\/strong> 50+;<\/p><p><strong>Probability of exclusion from Scopus:<\/strong> 100%;<\/p><p><strong>Probability of deindexing (removal from the Scopus database) of articles:<\/strong> 0% \u2013 indexed articles will not be deleted from the database when the journal is turned off.<\/p><p><strong>Current status:<\/strong><br \/>The journal is under review by the CSAB board and will soon be removed from Scopus. However, in the fall of 2024, it changed course dramatically and began publishing a large number of articles for money, which significantly affected its reputation and scientific value.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Features of the magazine:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Q4 \u2013 public health;<\/li><li>Indexed in Scopus since 2019<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Main violations:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>A sharp increase in the number of published articles.<\/li><li>Lack of peer review;<\/li><li>A large number of published issues and special issues.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Number of Ukrainians who have been published in this magazine:<\/strong> 50+<\/p><p><strong>Probability of exclusion from Scopus:<\/strong> 100%.<\/p><p><strong>Probability of deindexing (removal from the Scopus database) of articles:<\/strong> 10% \u2013 indexed articles will probably not be removed from the database when the journal is excluded, but all published unindexed articles will not be indexed.<\/p><p><strong>Current status:<\/strong><br \/>The journal is under review by the CSAB board and will soon be removed from Scopus. However, in 2024, the situation changed dramatically.<\/p><p>Perhaps this is due to the desire to make a profit or the journal was sold. In 2018, it was indexed in Scopus and has maintained a proper level of publication quality throughout this time.<\/p><p>However, in 2024, the magazine was sold, and the new owners decided to use its status primarily for commercial gain, which significantly affected the quality of the published materials.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Features of the magazine:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Q3 \u2013 Pathology and Forensic Medicine;<\/li><li>Indexed in Scopus since 2018.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Main violations:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>A sharp increase in the number of published articles;<\/li><li>Lack of peer review<\/li><li>A large number of published issues and special issues.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Number of Ukrainians who have been published in this magazine:<\/strong> 15+<\/p><p><strong>Probability of exclusion from Scopus:<\/strong> 100%<\/p><p><strong>Probability of deindexing (removal from the Scopus database) of articles:<\/strong> 0%<\/p><p><strong>Current status:<\/strong><br \/>The journal is under review by the CSAB board and will soon be removed from Scopus.
