Category B publications are renamed VAK publications. This is now a mandatory element of the scientific activities of students, graduate students, and other researchers. Every scientist who wants to develop needs to publish his or her own work in a reputable journal.

What is the difference between category B and others for professional researchers

The important features that distinguish Category B publications from others are:

Publication in scientific journals that are peer-reviewed by a special committee. Most of these journals are international.
The volume of articles in this category is 8-10 pages. Whereas standard articles can range in size from two to thirty pages.
There are more stringent requirements for the content of the article and its design.
Obligatorily, the work must have a title, abstract, keywords in the national language (Ukrainian) and in English.
It is important that the journal be assigned an ISSN number by which it can be identified.
Each published material must have a DOI identifier.
The editorial board must include at least 7 scientists who have a degree in one of the specialties corresponding to the scientific profile of the journal.

The presented requirements are basic, but it is also worth noting that each journal has its own requirements for writing and formatting a scientific article.
