In the first case, we are talking about ministries, and in the second - about private structures. These studies are distinguished by a high level of objectivity, since scientometric databases are characterized by a transparent system of calculations. For example, the Scopus database and the patent database are integrated. Due to this, coverage of a large amount of information for analytics is achieved.

Private universities care about their rankings no less, and sometimes even more than public ones. This is natural, since there is high competition in this educational segment. It is important for each educational institution to prove to students and their parents that it is the best choice for education.

The first position is occupied by the Kyiv School of Economics, although in the consolidated TOP-200 rating for Ukraine, which takes into account different indicators, it occupies the 5th position. In second place is IAPM, which is the leader in Ukraine. The third place is taken by the Lviv University of Trade and Economics, which is 1 position higher in the data for Ukraine. Thus, the Scopus ranking largely converges with the consolidated national ranking.

What has changed in the ranking of Ukrainian universities over the year

If we talk about what has changed in this ranking of state universities over the past year, then the TOP-3 leaders have remained unchanged. Moreover, their positions in the h-index only strengthened.

The composition of the top ten has also changed. The Donetsk National Medical University dropped out of it, and the Carpathian National University named after. V. Stefanik, since educational institutions have changed places.
